So, as most who follow my blog know, I was at Walt Disney World earlier this month. During my time there, I got to enjoy Epcot’s Flower & Garden Festival.
Flower Overload!!
The flowers were in abundance during this springtime festival. Not only were floral arrangements planted all over Epcot in some way, shape or form. But flower sculptures of many of the most famous Disney characters were all over the park.
Honestly, I couldn’t escape the flowers. Thus, the themed name of this festival. It was spectacular, gorgeous and downright breathtaking what was accomplished with flowers this spring there.
I have never been lucky enough to get to be in Walt Disney World or Epcot during the spring. So, I was mesmerized. I took so many pictures.
When I returned home to NY, flowers were finally also blooming here. However, nothing quite as grand as what I experienced in Epcot. But then again, Disney has a way of outdoing it no matter what they do.
Disney Flower Dreaming!
That said, I was missing Disney. Plus, I was also missing the flowers, especially the sunflowers from Epcot.
Plus, we all know about my sweet tooth as this admission is no secret here. Therefore, I couldn’t resist conjuring up a Sunflower Cupcakes treat to try to get over my Disney and Epcot Flower & Garden Festival hangover.
Trust me; these cupcakes are just what I needed to help get me over my sadness after the trip was over. I used small terra pots to hold the Sunflower Cupcakes.
Plus, these Sunflower Cupcakes were made with pre-made vanilla cupcakes. Moreover, they were decorated with store-bought Yellow Funfetti Frosting for the yellow flower look. Plus, chocolate sprinkles are in the middle of the cake for the brown pistil.
Who doesn’t love Funfetti Icing and chocolate sprinkles??

Janine says
Aw, thanks for pinning, Jen and I cannot tell you how much fun it was to be in Disney for this spring festival. I honestly would highly recommend as the weather was perfect, but the festival itself was a done up perfectly, as well π

Those are some cool looking cupcakes. I’m afraid I love cupcakes too much…I could easily gain ten pounds if I ate them as often as I want to. π
Happy Tuesday my enterprising friend!
Janine says
Aw, Bill, I know that feeling well with cupcakes and sweet treats alike here, as well. That said, Happy Tuesday right back at you now!! π
Diane Roark says
Janine,
These Sunflower cupcakes are beautiful! I love seeing the pictures of the Flower & Garden festival at Epcot. WOW! It is beautiful! Out of all the years, we have gone to Disney World, we have never been to the Flower & Garden festival. Time off from school did not match the festival time. Maybe, when we retire one day I will get to see how amazing it is in person.
Thanks for sharing!
Diane
Janine says
Aw, thank you so much, Diane. And I do hope that maybe someday soon you can get to Disney World during this time of the year to experience the Epcot’s Spring and Garden Festival as it really is an awesome and fun time to be had if you can indeed attend with the flowers being showcased, as well as the perfectly themed food and beverages, as well as the special merchandise available, as well π
