How are you surviving winter?
Well, we finally made it. Christmas is over and it is now a New Year. Happy 2018! But here in NY it is now the middle of the winter season.

How I feel about the snow!
It is cold, snowy and more, because of this. Yup, currently is the first snow day here in NY for us. Schools are closed throughout the tri-state area. And I am barely surviving winter myself in all honesty.

See those who know me know that I am not a fan of this time of the year. I mean it is dark by 4:30 now. It is bitterly cold on most days. And snow is in the forecast more often than not.
Plus, it is cold and flu season, as well.
If I could hibernate like a bear this time of the year, I would. Call it my surviving winter instincts! But that just isn’t possible with being a mom to young school-aged kids.
Seriously, I need all the help I can to get through the next few months.
So, I thought what better time than now to offer a printable bundle to help all my readers to with surviving winter.

This is brilliant! Thanks for sharing this–winter is SO rough as a mama!
Janine says
Thanks again, Meredith and totally agree that winter, specifically this one has been seriously so rough so far. So I am just glad to offer a bit of help here for all.
Dara says
This is really impressive!
Janine says
Thanks so much, Dara π

I am sitting by my Costco “heat dish” and listening to the wind while watching the snow. While I much prefer summer, I admit that the snow is beautiful and an amazing display of nature’s power. Had to reschedule my clients for today, so it is nice to have a little break. I think I’ll take down my Christmas decorations…stay warm and safe!
Janine says
Seana, I am most likely doing similar with the Christmas decorations today. I also hope you stay safe and warm. And summer hopefully will find us one day again soon π
William Holland says
The days are getting longer. That’s the good news. The bad news is right about now you guys are buried in snow.
Stay safe my friend! Mild winter here; you probably don’t want to hear that right about now.
Janine says
Bill, I will definitely take a bit of good news as the snow is falling in buckets and the wind is howling here. So far this winter has been a doozy and it is only the first week in January. But still the longer days are something I will hold onto at the very least. Thanks for that and here is to spring finding us sooner rather than later at some point.
Jen says
Ugh, we have the flu right now! I guess the flu shot did not work for us, but hey we are done with it at least, maybe….. Better get your printables loaded and ready!
Janine says
Aw, so sorry to hear this and hope you all feel better soon now <3
Diane Hill Roark says
Janine,
I love all your winter printables. What a great idea! I was thinking about you this morning and praying you will be ok during the horrible snow storm headed your way today.
Please be super careful!
Blessings,
Diane
Janine says
Aw, thanks Diane and trying to just stay warm and safe as this storm is definitely dropping a ton of snow and very windy, too. Hugs and appreciate you always thinking of me <3
AnnMarie John says
Our winters are usually milder and this year has been no exception. We’re still in the 50’s and 60’s here in my little part of the planet. This printable will come in handy though. I tend to stock up on canned goods because when we do get a winter storm, our streets don’t get cleared fast enough for me to get outdoors. Here’s hoping for some sunshine your way soon.
Janine says
Thank you so much, AnnMarie for the sunshine wishes as we most definitely could use all those wishes and than some with this crazy storm that has blown in here today now.
Tamara says
Ok, this is SO brilliant. Winter is a rough one, especially for parents. Thank you for this!
Janine says
Aw, you are so welcome and tomorrow is snow day #2 here. So definitely a rougher winter so far in my book!
Emily says
Wow, looks like a great item! Fortunately, since my kids are older, when it comes to wintery, snowy days, they are happy to hibernate inside just like me!
Janine says
Emily, I would so hibernate if I could, too!! π
Christine Carter says

I’m totally with you about winter! I think you know how much I dislike the cold and snow, etc. But we will make the best of it. I know your suggestions will help lots of moms get through these cold and dark months. Here’s to Spring!
Janine says
Aw, I know we do totally agree on winter and raising my glass to cheers to spring with you right about now, too xoxo <3

I could totally hunker down and hibernate. It was so cold here during our Christmas break. We had a bit of a warm up but we’re headed into another 5 day cold snap. It’s this time of year that winter feels sooooooo long!
Wishing you a lovely week ahead.
xoxo
Janine says
I couldn’t agree more and definitely tis the season with the cold. But also wishing you a lovely week ahead now, too xoxo
