Working from home, I usually try my best to take a lunch break about half through my work day.
My lunch finds me making myself something that is tasty, but also easy to make to eat for lunch time. This is because it is only me and my lunch is also honestly just a quick break from my regularly scheduled work-at-home day.
[Tweet “Enjoy a mid-day #ChaiLatte #KCup for a #SweetMeetsSpicy treat #IC #ad #recipe”]
Throughout the day, I drink infused water, but at lunch I try to enjoy a something other than my water like smoothies in the really warm weather or tea on a chiller, rainy spring day.
To be honest, the past few weeks here in NY, we have been having some chilly and rainy spring days more often than not sadly.
But the one thing that helps ease the rainy day blues, has been getting to enjoy a cup of TAZO® Chai Latte, which is made from milk, tea leaves and spices and can also easily be brewed with their K-Cup® pods with my Keurig® for my lunch-time breaks.
Chai latte tea has always been a favorite of mine as it not only has been around for over 5,000 years with origins in Indian history, but chai is a black tea blend that’s part sweet, part spicy, and totally unexpected. But getting to try TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® pods has meet all these exceptions and much more.
See there is just something about the rich, creamy blended taste of an authentic TAZO® Chai Latte black tea, with every sip including spicy cardamom, cinnamon and ginger that meets a sweet vanilla escape for even the coolest of rainy days. And even more so the new TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® pods have allowed me to explore a world of flavor from the comfort of my own home during my lunch-time work day breaks.
So, I have found myself being able to relax, as my taste buds have hosted me on an imaginary journey through the exotic lands of sweet cinnamon, fragrant cardamom, and spicy ginger, leaving me feeling invigorated by the aromatic flavors and ready to travel around the world and ready to start my second portion of my work day once I have drank a steamy, warm cup of TAZO® Chai Latte.
But my cup of TAZO® Chai Latte wouldn’t be complete without a wonderful lunchtime meal pairing. Luckily for me, Padma Lakshmi, New York Times Bestselling author and host, is the brand spokesperson for the TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® pods new product launch, because Tea and chai have also always been a part of Padma Lakshmi’s life and family heritage.
The most exciting part is Padma Lakshmi has developed recipes that actually pair perfectly with a cup of chai and you can find all her fabulous TAZO® inspired recipes, HERE.
But I actually recently tried a few of her recipes and thought I would share one that I adapted a bit to my own liking with ingredients that I also had in my home from a recent grocery shopping visit, that you can also give a try in your own home easily and conveniently. Plus this one truly went perfectly with my TAZO® Chai Latte at lunchtime.

I love Chai tea no matter what the weather and I love the Tazo brand. Being able to make this at home without having to run out to the coffee shop is awesome. I am going to have to get this the next time I’m picking up my k-cups. BTW that recipe is so simple that I can see myself making this as a quick snack for lunch etc.
