The anticipation of Christmas Day is exciting for everyone, but it can make kids downright rambunctious. The little ones don’t know what to do with all of this excitement, so it naturally turns into crazy energy which can be difficult to handle when you and the family are driving out of town to grandma’s house for the holidays and you need them to sit still in the car for an hour or two.

1. I-Spy Bingo
The first is a Decoration I-Spy Bingo which is great for when you’re cruising through the local neighborhoods checking out all the great holiday decorations. The Zebra also suggests taking this to a drive through Winter Wonderland light display if you have one in your town.
2. Song Lyric Challenge
The next is a Song Lyric Challenge! This printable features fill-in-the-blank song lyrics for all of the holiday songs we know and love. This activity is great for all ages, and everyone will enjoy the funny lyrics that kids hear.
3. Picture Puzzle
Lastly, for those looking for a little more challenge this season (as if Christmas shopping isn’t hard enough!), they can try their hand at the Picture Puzzle. This is what’s known as a rebus puzzle, a word or phrase made through the sounds of symbols. You and your family will love working together to solve these — it can get a little tricky!
‘Tis the season of cheer, so why not use these free printables for some wholesome family time? Feel free to laminate these and reuse them next year!
