Did you know that Vermont’s trail is the oldest in the whole country? That’s right, the 250 miles trail has been there for decades and attracts visitors from all corners of the globe. To give you a hint, the forest provides some of the best camping spots in the entire area, so be sure to check them out.

Minnewaska State Park Preserve

Minnewaska State Park Preserve is located in New York. To get there, you will travel 94 miles to the north of New York City. This is the place to be if you are a fan of outdoor adventure and you also have a thing for nature.

Shawangunk shares the list with one of the oldest climbing areas in the US. The good news is that it where the Minnewaska state park preserve rests. The area is around 2,000 feet above sea level, so you already know what the atmosphere around feels like.

The camping site has 50 miles of footpaths and 35 miles of carriage roads. That means you will bike, walk, hike, or sit around and enjoy staring at amazing rock formations.

Assateague Island National Seashore

Would you like to camp at the seashore? Nothing feels better than the roaring sounds coming from the sea at night. You could have all that when you choose this awesome camping site located in Maryland.

You will get to interact with a community of wild horses, which is the best thing you could ever ask for. By the day, you will enjoy hiking along 37 miles of beach. Be sure to pitch your tent near the water and its crashing waves. You will enjoy a night under the stars; you won’t even feel like going back home.

Badlands National park

You may have never heard of this name before, but Badlands National Park is a household name these days. The National Park is located in South Dakota. Want to know what makes this place cool? It has a tough climate that you will enjoy walking through.

There is a range of rock formations that you can explore, but hiking is the best thing to do in this camping spot. In early August, this place hosts an astronomy festival since it is the best spot for stargazing. The park has a total of two campgrounds, making it the best place if you plan on an extended stay. Make sure to have all the essentials when it comes to a long stay. Make to use your best RV mattress, have food and cooking materials, and enough warmth.

Denali National Park
