It is no secret that my family, specifically my daughters are dog-lovers at heart. These two girls are one of the big reasons that we have our now 5-year-old Golden Retriever dog, Elsa. OK, so my husband may have had something to do with, as well as myself.
But still, we love dogs in our home. So, recently I was grocery shopping at our local Stop & Shop. I usually buy some form of cheese for our family as we can’t live without cheese. My girls enjoy string-cheese, and even snack type bite cheeses.
So, I couldn’t resist when I came across PAW Patrol™ Mozzarella String Cheese. Not going to lie, but the packaging caught my eyes with the adorable cartoon dog characters on them.
That said though as I looked at the packaging, color me impressed. See, these PAW Patrol Cheeses have 6 grams of protein and 0 grams of sugar. Plus, they are made with milk and a good source of calcium.
Moreover, PAW Patrol String Cheese is perfect for our family cheese snacking, whether for on-the-go string cheese convenience just as they are or for a special after-school or weekend treat ingredient.
However, I got to thinking about the extra special treats I could make using the PAW Patrol String Cheese I bought. Our Golden Retriever turns five this month. The girls are so very excited to celebrate her special day believe it or not.
So, my mind got to work on what I could do for the girls that would include these cheeses, dogs and fun celebratory food.
What did I come up with making??
Well, you guessed it. My girls have always loved any bread type of recipe for snacking and more, as well. So, I grabbed the crescent rolls I had in our refrigerator and got to work on Cheesy Crescent Dog Bone Rolls.
First, I cut PAW Patrol String Cheese in half.
Then, I stuffed them with the cut up PAW Patrol Cheese half and rolled them up.
But then I twisted the ends to make them look like dog bones.
Lastly, I baked them up for our grand celebration!
So, how about it? Do your kids enjoy dogs, PAW Patrol, cheeses and bread together?

Now that’s something I could “sink my teeth” into. I love string cheese. It’s one of the few foods that it’s okay to play with before eating. 🙂
Happy Tuesday my friend!
Janine says
Bill, same here and don’t need much of an excuse to enjoy string cheese – ever! Happy Tuesday to you, too now 🙂
