The Stars And Stripes Edition – GLOSSYBOX June 2014

Filed Under: affiliates, beauty, BLOG Tagged With: Ayres, camille Beckman, GlossyBox, June 2014, Rusk, Stars and Stripes, Strangebeautiful, Sumita Beauty

*I pay for my subscription to GLOSSYBOX, however, I am also an affiliate marketer for them.  So any links you click on and make a purchase through will indeed make me money off of.  I am required by the FCC guidelines to indeed disclose this here.*

Hot off the heels of the Bergdoff Goodman May 2014 GLOSSYBOX, the Stars and Stripes Edition GLOSSYBOX for June 2014 arrived on my doorstep.

I happened to re-up in the middle of June and so my delivery of this box was even later then usual, being delivered on July 1st.  Totally my fault for this, but just want to explain that I am indeed a month behind partially because of this and also because I do try out all the products before I post so that I can add any thoughts to these posts to help those deciding if they do want to try this subscription beauty box out.

And to be honest, I am so happy that I did get this box, when I did even if it was supposedly June’s box, it contained products for the summer and specifically 4th of July, which came just in the nick of time to use for July 4th weekend.

So to me, this box came at a perfect time for me.

Now, without further ado, here is the Star and Stripes Edition of GLOSSYBOX.

Gift Card and Box

Before, get to the actual products, I want to make mention that this box, also came with a gift card of sorts labeled, “A World of Wonder, All for You” and “Every Card’s a Winner! Up to $500, Just for You.” for C Wonder.  I immediately tried to see what my card was worth and was a bit disappointed that it was only worth $5, but I guess it was $5 more then I had.

Anyways, onto the beauty products for the Stars and Stripes GLOSSYBOX:

Contents of Stars and Stripes of GLOSSYBOX

  • STRANGEBEAUTIFUL – COLORBLOC

Exclusively designed for GLOSSYBOX, this patriotically inspired STRANGEBEAUTIFUL COLORBLOC pairing enables you to color your nails on the go effortlessly-outstanding for travel, airline friendly and splendid to hold.  It is comprised of two saturated colors and housed in compact design.  I totally used it for my 4th of July manicure and was a huge hit here.

Strange Beautiful ColorBloc

FULL SIZE $18.00 / 2 X .15 FL OZ (RECEIVED FULL SIZE!!)

  • RUSK TEXTURE – DRY FINISHING SPRAY

This talc-free dry styling spray adds texture, shape and grip for an instant boost for hot summer nights, while maintaining hair’s natural movement.  Best of all? No white flakes or chalky residue.

Love being able to have something to help jazz up my hair after long humid days and must admit I have used this more times then not for that extra boost.  My bottle is almost done, but again well worth it to me.

FULL SIZE $18.00 / 8 OZ (RECEIVED SAMPLE SIZE 1.5 OZ)

  • AYRES – PATAGONIA BODY BUTTER

Tackle skin’s dry patches with an all-natural body formula enriched with herbal extracts and vitamins.  This fragrant-fusion of jasmine, rosemary, lavender, bergamot and fir essential oils harkens to Patagonia’s contrasting landscapes.

Not only do I absolutely love the smell and aroma of this one, but it is so silky that I am truly addicted to using it on my skin.  No joke this is another product from this box that I have not stopped using since I opened it.

FULL SIZE $28.00 / 6.75 OZ (RECEIVED SAMPLE SIZE 1 OZ)

  • CAMILLE BECKMAN – PLATINUM GOLD IMPERIAL REPAIR HAND THERAPY

Promising your hands a dose of hydration, restoration and softening, this dye-free, gluten-free citrus scented cream includes botanicals like sweet almond oil, grapeseed oil and the brand’s signature herbal complex.

This cream, I have used once so far.  Not toady sold on the scent to be honest, plus my hands aren’t really dry this time of the year, so I am saving if for the colder, winter months where I do indeed have my hands get dry and need some extra TLC.

FULL SIZE $10.00 /1.35 OZ (RECEIVED FULL SIZE!!!)

  • SUMITA BEAUTY – CHAMPAGNE EYE SHADOW PENCIL

The perfect finishing touch for day or night, this universally-flattering golden shade offers a hint of shimmer to accent any eye color.  Use as a highlight or apply to your entire eyelid without fear, as this silky pencil won’t smudge or smear.

I have been using this pencil over my beige/light borne eye shadow that I had beforehand and love the shimmery effect it gives off on the eyes.  I usually wear it if we go out later in the day or on the weekends.

    Janine,

I love your BOX VOX review. One thing I have learned as I age is that every part of my body need lots and lots of moisturizer. Thanks for sharing the Hand Therapy and the Body Butter. I think this would definitely help moisturize.

    Blessings,
    Diane

    1. $5 at Dollar Tree makes you feel like a Rockafeller.

    2. I think I’d steal that body butter of all the things in the box. I’ve somehow managed 16 years as a dad without having my nails polished even once.

    3. I wonder if they make a box like this for Star Wars legos.

Yea, it was $5 more than you had :). C Wonder has cute stuff! I love the nail colors and the texturizing spray. I also use it in between hair washes to wick away oil.

I love your glossybox. I have been thinking of getting a subscription lately and have even asked Krxssy what she thought about it since I wanted to give it to her. I’ll have to show her this and ask again. Love those color polishes!

Definitely voted for you! We just need to click it once right? And the vote gets in? 🙂 I love your glossy box as always. The body butter is something I’d like to try. I love trying different scents but nowadays, I don’t have much time to shop in stores and try new ones. Aw.

Fun! Sorry about the five bucks, though. Although it depends on where it’s five dollars. Five dollars at Dunkin Donuts is pretty great!
    The nail polish looks fabulous.
