So many great memories were made on and off the blog for me this past year.
My youngest made her first communion in May. Plus, she finally lost her first tooth.
My older daughter got to celebrate her actual 9th birthday in Walt Disney World.
We also got to attend our second ever Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and even celebrate Mickey’s 90th Birthday with him, too!
Much of this year found me either in physically in Disney World or at least Disney Dreaming. Thus, I decided to update my blog name before the year ended to “A Disney-aholic Mom”. See my girls are getting older and not calling me, “Mommy” all the time anymore. I am still a mom first and foremost though. Plus, Disney has a piece of my heart. So, the new name just made sense to me.
That said, my little blog is almost 7 years old!
What better time than now though to look back on year six with fondness.
So, let’s see what blog articles were tops with all of you for 2018 now.

Thanks for linking up and sharing your most popular posts, Janine. I missed the chicken noodle casserole the first time around so will have to check that out! Seven years. Wow. Congratulations! And I like the name Disney-aholic mom. Tucker doesn’t call me “Mommy” any longer either. Sigh. Happy New Year! Here’s to a wonderful 2019!
Janine says
Totally my pleasure and so happy I could link up for the last FTSF of 2018! That said, so glad you are finally catching my Chicken Noodle Casserole and hope you can make it soon. Also, thank you for the congrats. Still shocked how many years I am into blogging now. Seems like only yesterday, I began this journey. As for Mommy, I know sadly slowly but surely has been retired here, as well. Happy New Year and again wishing you a wonderful 2019!! 🙂

Your new blog name fits in perfectly and I don’t know if that’s been your blog photo lately with the bow, but that’s perfect too.
I think I have all the ingredients for the black bean and corn salsa and I HOPE I don’t have the ingredients for the shortbread cookies. I looked at the recipe earlier this month and asked my husband if he like shortbread cookies. He said no but now I still want them. Hmmmm.
Happy New Year to you!
Janine says
Kenya, thank you so much and so glad you like my new blog name and pic, too. I had been toying with it for a bit now and just finally took the plunge about a month ago. As for the Black Bean and Corn Salsa – still one of my favorites, too. So, hope you do try. And the shortbread cookies aren’t one of my husband’s favorites either. But the girls and I love them. So, I guess it is totally subjective. That said, I know all about trying to resist and yet I truly have no willpower. So, if you do indeed resist, then you are one up on me! Happy New Year once again 🙂

My so is a Disney-aholic too. He can recite every line and tell you “the voice of” every character. So I get this. It’s been a few years since we’ve been so I’m sure we’re due.
Love, Love, Love the photo of your daughter on her birthday! Happy 2019!
Janine says
Aw, thank you and love that you totally get this, Vickie!! Happy New Year and hope it is just magical for you and your SO 🙂
