Well, here we are with the end of another year. That’s right 2017 is just about over now. 2017 Confessions blog year is also pretty much over.
So many great memories were made on and off the blog for me this past year.
It was also a year of firsts for me.
This included turning 40 back in June. Still many days find myself not quite believing this. But still not only am I am 40 years old, but heading to 41 in less than 6 months time now.
A few rock concerts were attended this past year. But my all-time favorite was where I got to see Paul McCartney in concert for the very first time. At this most awesome concert, I was surprised and ecstatic when Billy Joel showed up to share the stage with Sir Paul. What a treat to have two all-time legends share one stage that evening.
My oldest made her First Holy Communion in April. My youngest went along for that ride. But 2018 will be her year where she now will be the center of attention with her Communion on tap in this upcoming May.
One of the big firsts though for us was getting to vacation in Disney World not once, but twice in one year.
That’s right, we not only enjoyed our annual summer Disney World vacation. Where our oldest had a ball partying it up in Disney for her 8th birthday. We also spent our 11th wedding anniversary in Disney, as well.
But we also doubly reveled in our November Christmas/Holiday Disney World vacation, as well. Our youngest finally got to celebrate her birthday in Disney for the very first time ever.
Disney spoiled doesn’t even begin to describe it.
But that was only scratching the surface of 2017 for our family. However, on my little blog it has been an equally fun ride for 2017.
Since 2017 is pretty much in the books, I thought what better time than now to recap the top 10 Confessions 2017 blog posts for the year. By the way this year, I published 195 blogs articles from the beginning of January 2017 to today.

Disney twice in one year – My son will be so jealous!
Janine says
Vickie, definitely was awesome being there two times in one year. Hope to be able to do it again someday soon 😉
Kristi Campbell says
That’s so cool that Billy Joel showed up at the Sir Paul concert. I’m super jealous about Disney twice too, although I can’t complain because we did go to Universal this year and OMG the Harry Potter rides were fantastic. Like, beyond amazing. So I can’t complain (but am still jealous). I don’t think I saw your beef stew recipe (or if I did I didn’t save it). I made it for the first time this year and need to compare your recipe – mine was just from some online thing and it was okay but not as awesome as some I’ve had. Happy New Year Janine! <3
Janine says
Aw, Happy New Year to you, too Kristi! Oh and I am jealous of Harry Potter as still a huge fan here always. But being that we stay on Disney property and use the Magic Express and more for transportation can’t justify the cost to get off Disney grounds to get to Universal at this point. Someday though fingers crossed! <3
Jen says
That Barbie Dream House post just keeps going gangbusters forever 🙂
Happy New Year wishes for a great one!
Janine says
Jen, that article totally never failed as far as Google search ranking, especially during the holiday times. So, yes it truly is the gift that keeps on giving! Happy New year now to you and your family, too 🙂

I love the Disney photos…we are thinking about *trying* to take Esmé for the first time. I’m not sure how it would go for her…and what she’d think about all of it. But it seems like, after her experience on the Sesame Street set, that she might be into Disney after all! I was there as a 2 year old…so I don’t remember what it is like at all.
Janine says
Aw, I think Esme would love Disney and hope you can take her very soon now, too 😉
Cheryl Blinston says
