Valentines Day Is Over, as well as Snow-maggedon I Lost Count!

Still February and must admit trying my damndest to find the good right now.

More snow this past Sunday night and as of Monday we were told to brace ourselves for another storm on Thursday.

Fear was again running rampant and was even told on Monday when I dropped the girls off at pre-school that they were switching the Valentine’s Party to Wednesday in case Thursday was indeed a snow day!

And yup, Thursday totally was a snow day and brought us over another foot of snow on top of the foot we already had.

Snowmaggedon I lost Count!

Snowmaggedon I lost Count!

No end in sight and still have the rest of February and March to get through.  God help me if it snows in April, because you may just find me cowering in the corner mumbling to myself! (Kidding, I think!)

Seriously though, as bad as it has been weather wise, I am so in need of finding the good with my weekly thankful things.  So keep reading to find out now…

Ten Things of Thankful

1.  For funny commentary from Lily quite often.  This weeks gem was Lily saying, “Hit it boys,” at breakfast!

2. Great friends like Amanda at Growing Up Madison giving us her leftover Gymboree Bucks for some kids shopping, where we got a nice amount of clothes.

New Gymboree Clothes for the Girls3.  Dean & Grace review and getting a very cute little dress for my girls to share and try out.

4.  Winning this adorable iPhone case from Raising Reagan’s Giveaway (I mentioned and finally
received).

Adorable Barbie iPhone Cell Phone Case5.  Getting to read and review It’s Really 10 Months, by Natalie Guenther, Kim Schenkelberg, and Celeste Snoggrass.  Stay tuned for the review and a giveaway coming soon, too!

6.  More nail fun with an oldie, but goodie with Chanel Le Vernis’s, Ciel De Nuit Night Sky.

Chanel Le Vernis Starry Night

7.  Watching ice skating on Olympics with Lily Saturday night.  Our favorite was Carolina Kostner from Italy ice skating to Ave Maria.  Beautiful and so graceful, too!

8.  Bright Smile review that I get to work on and get to whiten my teeth or free!  I am sending my impressions back this weekend and hoping to get the kit soon to indeed whiten my teeth.

9. The Beatles 50th Anniversary Special on Sunday night.  I got to watch the whole thing and seriously Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr rocked the house, as well as Foo Fighter’s Dave’s Grohl with Hey Bulldog, who was my next favorite from the night beside the two awesomely amazing Fab Two!

10.  Being included in the Influenster J’Adore VoxBox.

A side note by the way, I am on Instagram here and my hashtag to follow me is @jnine0712.  Most of the photos above were indeed posted on there and trying to make an conscious effort for 2014 (one of my goals for the new year) to use Instagram more then ever and hope you will follow me over there if you haven’t already!*

OMG that little dress is just too cute…seriously. I hate eh summer and do love the winter, but even I've had enough of this snow. I am sick from all the shoveling and hoping to celebrate Valentine's day today…

Karen I know we have had a lot of snow if even you are complaining, because I know you would rather it be cold out. I keep hearing though that it may be a very hot summer if we have had it this bad this winter. I truly hope not for you, but will secretly admit I would rather it be hot and steamy right now rather then this horribly cold and tons of snow we are having. We too were supposed to celebrate Valentine's Day, but now not sure with more snow possible later. Seriously so done!

That is awesome about Miss B and love when they are learning new words, especially those words. And I know about the teeth whiting. Now I have to set aside a few minutes to do the actual impressions to get my kit. Hoping to do so this weekend 🙂

I need to get my nails done. Specifically my toes since I haven't seen them since our first snow fall in October. Yup. October. I bet they're so rough that I can sandpaper the new drywall up in the kitchen. Dead sexy. Why yes I am.
This winter is ridiculous. I shuddered at that picture. *she says as she looks outside and sees 10+ inches of snow*
I miss out on buying (and receiving how cool is that?!) girl clothes. Boy clothes are kind of boring. although I don't have to worry about him flashing his knickers when he's sitting criss cross apple sauce at school.
Lord this is my first comment here and you're probably all "just shut up already"…I am awkward.

Kimberly, don't get me started on my toes. My nails yes I have done, but my toes totally another story altogether. I mean we are on snowmaggedon I truly lost count and my toes haven't seen the light of day since October, lol! As for the girls' clothes so much fun, I will admit and when it comes to boys' clothes I a truly clueless having my two girls. And totally not awkward and absolutely loved your comment and wishing you a great weekend now again!! 🙂

You better be careful, Mama! You are raising yourself a couple of little fashionistas…that's a whole lot of extra blogging in your future! That dress Emma is wearing is too, too cute!
I love that sparkly blue (it is blue, right?) nail polish. Dark blue is one of my favorite colors and I don't wear much sparkle but this one I could do!

Emma is definitely going to be a fashionista, because she is all about the skirts, dresses and just being dressed up. The jury is still out on Lily, but have a feeling Emma may sway here yet! And it is totally a deep, dark blue sparkly polish and just so awesome (always was) and was so happy it was still good to wear even after having for a few years! 🙂

That dress you got sent for Lily and Emma to share is SO BEAUTIFUL! Wow! Geometric LOVELINESS. You done well there, my friend.

And ice dancing. Hm. I think it's not my thing, though I watched the whole vid, and the girl did really well. Very graceful and stuff. And OH the SPINNING! Made me feel dizzy to watch!

I think we are looking at tonight into tomorrow, when I last checked, but to be honest I seriously don't want to look anymore!

I was so glad the storm bypassed us on Thursday. So sorry you weren't as lucky.

I hear there has been some respite from the snow and warmer temps have helped the melting process. Enjoy all the goodies you and the girls received. It helps to add a little something to brighten your snowbound winter. xxoo

Thanks Aunt Gloria. It was warmer here yesterday and rain washed some of out lovely snow away, but we still have enough to spare. I, for one, am done and over it. If I never see snow like this again in years to come it will be too much!! xoxo!! 🙂
