Finally it is Saturday and time is really flying around here. This week was definitely a busy one starting on Sunday with having to take Emma to her new pediatrician for a sick visit. I will try soon to post up exactly what transpired with the girls old pediatrician and why I finally said “Enough was enough” by indeed switching to a new doctor for them.
But alas I knew it was too good to be true that she was all better and would make it through the spring and summer unscathed. She is coughing again and has a runny now allowing me to hear this lovely tune again, “I have a boogie!”.
She is not nearly as sick as the last time. This doctor (after having a bit of issue with the health insurance-never a dull moment) told us her lungs were clear and just prescribed singular for her at night. She is fine, but still coughing and having to blow her nose. Fun times!!
Then, Friday came and Lily woke up crying hysterically rom her nap, throwing up and telling me her left ear hurt. Back to the doctor, I went. Waited almost an hour to be seen to be told her ear was just fine and probably just a bit of a cold with pressure on her ear from it. Of course, that kind of a wait for a 2 1/2 year old is pure torture and in turn is pure hell for mom (me) who had to wait with her. We are done and they give her a roll of Mickey Mouse and Friends stickers.
If waiting for the doctor to see us was painful, then the ride home couldn’t only be described at 50 shades of pure hell!! I took the wrong turn and was heading the opposite direction on the parkway home (mommy brain at its worst) and the whole time Lily is screaming in the back seat that she couldn’t get the Minnie Mouse sticker off the roll. If I ever needed a drink that would have been the moment!!
So both kids sick again in less then a week’s time. And the weather, of course, is still all over the place and sure this hasn’t helped. One day it is 45 degrees, overcast and rainy. The next day it is almost 70 degrees and sun shining beautifully. Mother nature truly needs to get her act together and decide that spring is here to stay like yesterday!! But I digress and know I do complain a lot about the weather here.
However, it is definitely the weekend now and time to catch up with my weekly recap now!!
On Sunday, I finally updated my Spring by the Summer journey so far with a bit of what motivates me on this, a shout-out to a bloggy friend and a recap of sorts for more on this click here.
On Monday, I shared my Photo taking addiction with this week’s Casetagram Review and giveaway, too. Read the original post and also enter the raffle below (still time to win your very own mobile phone Casetagram case), if you haven’t already here.
On Tuesday, I offered a glimpse the inner workings of my younger daughter, Lily’s little mind and overshared yet again, click here to find out more.
On Wednesday, I decided I would love to share some pictures of Emma from her very first trip to the park, when she wasn’t even a year old for another successful Flashback Wednesday. To see Emma in all her Spring Fling glory, go here.
On Thursday, I offered a bit of advice and help for first time parents with a wonderful sponsored post about Pish Posh Baby for more on this click here.
On Friday, yet another Finish the Sentence Friday linkup went live with the sentence to finish being, “I am very passionate about…”. To linkup if you haven’t or just to find out what I am passionate about, as well as when others were, too, click here.
And now that another Saturday is indeed upon us, I hope you too have a wonderful, fun weekend. I know that is a loaded sentence and sentiment if you are a mom. My weekend as I said is filled with craziness in the form of my two girls and Kevin, too. Dance this morning, running errands and then not sure what else just yet, but sure we will find something to fill up our time. So much to do, so little time to get it all done!!
Also for the upcoming week, this past week’s giveaway is ending on Monday morning and another giveaway is coming up soon, as well more Flashback Wednesday action and keep in mind that Finish the Sentence Friday will be happening again and as always going live this Thursday night at 10 pm EST!! Plus stay tuned for an announcement coming your way!! And that is a wrap-up!!

Oh my dear I am so sorry you are having so many "health" issues. Hopefully things will get better very soon and happy with stickers and such without having to be sick. I know that when I was in the "thick of things" with my kids I never thought I would survive …. I did and you will – these days go by much too fast. Blink twice and before you know it you will be going to college graduations saying "how did this happen? I'm not old enough to have a college graduate!"
Stopping by from Make My Saturday Sweet Hop.

Thanks so much Kathie and just hope it doesn't fly by that quickly!! π

Until the age of three for my kids they seemed to have ear infections every time we turned around. Then it was just the occasional cold after that. Hopefully that will happen for you too! Happy weekend!
Janine Huldie says
Sarah from your lips to god's ears, because I am so hating ear infections!!
Janine Huldie says
Oh Lisa please pray for me, lol!! π
Cyndi says
Dang…I don't know how you do it, but you're amazing. Two sick kids…ugh…and the screaming. You're an angel, Janine. Hehe. π
Janine Huldie says
Thanks Cyndi and you know the feeling is mutual. You truly are just wonderful!! π Have a great weekend!!
Bill says
I hope the kids feel better soon and I hope you get that drink sooner. π Have a great weekend, Janine.
Janine Huldie says
Thanks Bill and if I was a big drinker we'd be in trouble!! But thank god for small favors I suppose. And have a great weekend, too!! π
Lanaya @ Raising Rea says
Oh mama … I'm sorry that the girls are sick. That sucks. Nothing like putting a damper on the weekend. I'm sure the weather is making it ten times worse. The fluctuations like that are horrible for keeping the kiddos healthy! Ugh …
Sending some love your way! Have a good weekend and hoping for a quick recovery for the littles.

Oh not a fun way to start your weekend! I hope both of the girls are feeling better. I think the stomach bug was going around because my nephew just had it on Thursday. And of course the weather doesn't help! Thankfully its beautiful out today and hope that you were able to spend some time outdoors. Love you!
Janine Huldie says
Oh thanks somuch Kera. They are doing ok just seems to be colds now. But I do agree it is beautiful out today and we were outside for a bit earlier today with the girls after dance. Hope you too are enjoying it and love u, too!! π
Robin Rue says
Oh man, I hope her ear feels better. That's happened with my little guy a few times and they sent us home saying it was nothing, but sure enough we were back a few days later and it turned into an ear infection. Hopefully that's not your case.
Janine Huldie says
We had this happen too recently with Emma and in the past with Lily, too. I am truly hoping that it doesn't turn into an ear infection, but she honestly told me, the nurse and then the doctor the left ear hurt. So, I really thought it was, because she sounded so convinced. But today she seemed fine other then a runny nose. So, who knows, but just hoping for the best!! π
Stacey Gannett says
We have had the same wonky weather where I live, too! The only reason that I think I have managed to keep the cooties away from mine, is because I home school, and they have little contact with others. Hope yours feel better, nothing worse than the lil ones feelin icky! π
Janine Huldie says
Stacey, you are probably right, because when I took Emma back to pre-school on Thursday apparently one of the little boys in her class that she plays with had the same thing as her at practically the same time. And thanks so much!! π
gigigirl says
Glad the girls are OK….colds and allergies are all over the place! Glad you survived, but that drink sounds like a good idea! Let's hope Sunday is more relaxing for all. Love to all, Aunt Gloria
Janine Huldie says
Oh thanks so much Aunt Gloria and seriously hope so!! xoxo Love you, too!! π
Dara says

Janine Huldie says
Thanks Dara and they do seem to be doing a bit better today π π

That phone case is really pretty! I'm sure mine wouldn't turn out quite so cute.
Also, thanks for tip on the Gatorade! I'm going to try it this week. π

Bethany, so happy to share and I honestly remember how painful that one Charlie horse was. It woke me out of a deep sleep and was crying so bad from the pain my husband was scared I was in labor!! So just happy to help out :). And as for the case, I am sure you have tons of pics or could even wait until your beautiful baby is born to use all those wonderful newborn photos!!!
Kera says
So glad to hear the girlies are feeling better! It was another beautiful day out today…I think we spent most of it outside!
Janine Huldie says
Oh so did we and thank you so much. Just happy they are doing better now!! π
