Back at Saturday again folks. Seems like I blinked on Monday and somehow here we are! Great week behind us, but now it is time for another weekend.
Last Saturday, we had a family communion about 3 hours away by car from us. It was a lovely party and thankfully the rain that hit as soon as we got our car parked passed within 45 minutes and the sun came out fighting and winning out for the rest of the day. It was truly delicious food, great company and even got to enjoy the outdoor ground the party was held at.
Fun Family Party!!Most know I got to use my brand new camera, which was my Mother’s Day gift. Of course, Sunday was indeed Mother’s Day and it was truly a lovely day, as well for me Also, we celebrated Kevin birthday on Mother’s Day. So, all-in-all, last weekend was busy, yet very much an enjoyable one.
Tuesday, we actually also had Emma’s Circus at Pre-school. She was a tight-rope walker and had to be dressed in her dance tutu and ballet shoes for this one. We were so proud of her and she did great. I have tons of pictures and even video, too. But have been debating putting the video up, because it has the other kids in it as well and don’t want anyone to complain that put video of their kids on here without their permission, but will say the whole thing was simply adorable and can see how hard the teachers did practice with this little kids to get it just right!
This weekend though, we do have less on our plates, but still do have a few more weeks of dance for the girls. Their recital is June 9th, so for the next few weeks they will be practicing at their Saturday morning sessions to gear up for it.
On Monday, I actually recapped Mother’s Day and the wonderful communion party we went to with photo collages. If you haven’t already seen it, click here.
On Tuesday, I offered an amazing giveaway to all my readers in the form of skincare products for acne prone skin. Click here to find out more and enter the Rafflecopter, too.
On Wednesday, I decided I would love to share some of my favorites pictures of my younger brother with my girls and myself to celebrate his upcoming 30th birthday. To see this, go here.
On Thursday, I divulged a bit of my freshman college days (back in 1995-I know I am old!) and for more on this click here.
On Friday, yet another Finish the Sentence Friday linkup went live with the sentence to finish being, “When I was younger, I wanted to…”. To linkup if you haven’t or just to find out what I wanted to do when I was a kid, as well as what others would have liked to do, too, click here.
And now that another Saturday is indeed upon us, I hope you too have a wonderful, fun weekend. I know that is a loaded sentence and sentiment if you are a mom. I plan on enjoying as much of this one as I can with Kevin and the girls. The weather is indeed getting nicer and hope to be outdoors as much as possible, too now.
Also for the upcoming week, another giveaway is coming up soon, as well more Flashback Wednesday action and keep in mind that Finish the Sentence Friday will be happening again for next week’s sentence click here and as always going live this Thursday night at 10 pm EST!! And that is a wrap-up!!

Oh I can't wait to see the pictures from the circus. What a cute idea! I wish our school did something like that.
Janine Huldie says
I have to try to put them all together. I have some on my camera and also a ton of video from it. And Kevin has some on his. But promise to try to put a collage together or share a few pics real soon. Thanks Robin and have a wonderful weekend!! 🙂

I'm so glad my school didn't have Circus Day. I'd certainly be one of the clowns in the clown car or the guy with the big shovel following the elephants. I think a new camera is probably the best Mother's Day gift ever, too.
Janine Huldie says
Oh thanks Eli and one of the little girls who had to dress like a clown hated the makeup and was so sad that she had to be for most of the show. I felt so bad for her. And the camera definitely was tops on my list, too 🙂
Bill says
I have much to do today so this will be short. I just wanted to wish you a wonderful weekend my friend. Give those girls a hug for me. 🙂
Janine Huldie says
Oh I sure will Bill and thanks as always. Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy it!! 🙂 🙂

I love, love, LOVE the pictures from your outdoor party at the aboretum! That is EXACTLY how I would want to spend a Saturday. And I especially think the pictures of your little girls are so adorable!
Janine Huldie says
Marcia, it really was such a beautiful day even though it rained at first. The sun ended up coming out and was almost 80 degrees. Truly was beautiful and thank you so much for your kind words about the pictures and my girls, too!! 🙂
Rose A says
It looks like it was a gorgeous outside event. It's funny that one of your daughter's seems to favor you, and the other your husband, but they still look like they could be twins. 🙂
Janine Huldie says
Thanks rose and it really was a wonderful outdoor event (after the rain cleared up). And I know exactly what you mean about my girls. Crazy, but even though Emma looks like Kevin and Lily more like me, they still have the twins look going on for sure 🙂
Christy Birmingham says
Awe, so glad you had a nice time at the communion party and I like seeing the photos! You have a beautiful family and YOU are beautiful outside and in!! Much love to you, my friend Janine 🙂
Janine Huldie says
Oh thank you so very much again Christy!! Please know I feel so much the same way about you and just so happy we are friends indeed. Much love right back at you, too 🙂 🙂

So glad I was able to be at Emma's "Circus" performance. She did great! And so did all the children. I look forward to the dance recital. Love your recap of the week….the textbook rental idea is wonderful and wish they had it when I was doing my studies. So many books were purchased that I never or barely used! Here's to a new week of interesting happenings ahead. xxoo Aunt Gloria

Lisa Newlin says
What?! You graduated in 1995?! I graduated in 1998 and I swear you look younger than me! Can you believe how long ago that was? In only 2 more years it will be your 20th high school graduation party. Frick! Twenty. That's nuts, right?
I still think of us as around 17 or 18 years old. We are, right?
Janine Huldie says
Lisa, I get told all the time it is just good genes, lol!! But seriously as young as I may or may not look, I feel too old some days, especially when I see or here teens taking in the local supermarket! But seriously where did the time go!!
