The week is finally over. Here is to hoping Emma and Lily are now better and we have no more illness in our house anytime soon. Having had Emma sick for almost 2 weeks, as well as Lily having a slight cold by the second of these two weeks sure wasn’t fun. I am so not wanting to repeat this anytime soon.
I also promise in the near future to share a bit of what I went through, but with Wordless Wednesday an Finish the Sentence Friday, I honestly didn’t have a moment to share some of this with you. So I will be remedying that in the next week or so with some of my posts including a sarcastic look at mothers versus sleep.
Also, next Sunday is Easter for those who celebrate, don’t forget to check out my Peeps Dessert Recipes if you haven’t here.
Now, onto to my weekly recap for those catching up now!!
On Sunday, I delved into the topic of truly not wanting to own a minivan or have to become a soccer mom either in my own sarcastic way and if you want to see more of my take on this, then click here.
On Monday, I shared my love of music, even though my singing does indeed make dogs somewhere cry with my playlist when I workout. Read the original post and let me know your playlists, here.
On Tuesday, I offered a glimpse into moments that make me truly remember why I wanted to be a mom and also celebrated my own mom’s birthday, click here for more on this. Also on this day, I also passed along information on a truly awesome company and my love of fashion with my weekly giveaway, too. For more about my addiction to clothes and the raffle, click here.
On Wednesday, I decided I would love to share pictures of a new beginnings of my girls all dressed for their own Christenings for another successful Flashback Wednesday. To see them all decked in their finest, go here.
On Thursday, I wrote about Emma’s recent bout with RSV and all we went through to get her well again. I will say it is definitely not fun for anyone when kids are sick and this was no exception to the rule, plus we had a bit of wrong assumptions be made at the local urgent care here.
On Friday, yet another Finish the Sentence Friday linkup went live with the sentence to finish being, “One time when I was bored out of my mind, I…”. To linkup if you haven’t or just to find out what activities I partake in during the truly most boring moments of my life (hint cleaning, reading and so much more are showcased), as well as others, click here.
And now that another Saturday is indeed upon us, I hope you too have a wonderful, fun weekend. I know that is a loaded sentence and sentiment if you are a mom. My weekend as I said is filled with craziness in the form of my two girls and Kevin, too. Again just pray for a healthy weekend for me.
Also for this upcoming week, stay tuned for another awesome giveaway (hint think Harry Potter and iPod Listening) as well more Flashback Wednesday action and keep in mind that Finish the Sentence Friday will be happening again and as always going live this Thursday night at 10 pm EST!! And that is a wrap-up!!

What a week – or a couple of weeks you've had. That's no fun dealing with a sick little one. But, I'm glad she's on the mend and that life is getting more normal. Have a great weekend.
Janine Huldie says
Thanks Cyndi and looks like (fingers crossed), both girls are doing well finally and just so hope it stays that way. Thanks again for being so kind!! 🙂
Kat Biggie says
What a crazy busy week!!! I hear ya! It's a good thing I had all of my posts rewritten and scheduled or I probably wouldn't have even posted most days this week! And by the way, I drive a minivan and I love it!! 🙂
Janine Huldie says
Lol, glad you love your minivan and seriously have nothing against them, but just can't do it and drive one!! 🙂 I hear you on being busy. And am so with you on being able to pre-schedule. Thank god for that feature!! 🙂
Janine Huldie says
Lol, Clark. I love getting that first comment spot!! 🙂
Janine Huldie says
You are so not alone and this Saturday catchup does give me a bit of breathing room. Trust me I thank god for pre-scheduling blogs, but still having had two sick kids for the last few weeks, my time has been scattered and definitely not on my game. So just know I can relate and feel your pain, Clark!!
Bill says
Well my friend, I hope next week is a bit more relaxed and less hectic and traumatic. Enjoy your weekend and thank you for your friendship.
Janine Huldie says
Oh thanks Bill and so happy to be friends with you, too. Next weekend, the girls don't have dance (because of the holiday). So, it should definitely be more of a quiet Saturday morning at the very least. That said we are gearing up for the recital now, so should be a few more crazy weekends before all said and told!! 🙂
Lisa Newlin says
My first vehicle was a minivan. I was so mad my parents gave it to me, but I figured I would deem it cool immediately to prevent others from mocking it. This theory definitely paid off. I named him "The Sniper" and he became a legend! He was "The Snipe" for short and even randomly had 007 in his license plate, which further demonstrated his awesomeness.
Did the Snipe have a working radio or tape deck? No. Did the drink holder spill your drink if you stopped quickly? Of course. Do I miss that bad boy? Every. Single. Day.
I should write a blog post about him. I miss him sometimes. Moral of this post: Get a minivan.
Janine Huldie says
Lol, loved your moral Lisa and I would totally read a story about "The Snipe". And I still remember my first car, I had a huge Cutlass Supreme, which also had a bit of a shoddy tape player. God the memories and thanks for bringing back quite a few on that one!! 🙂
Stephanie says
A word of advice: don't make the health improvement public; it's like as soon as you post "my kids are healthy again!) on Facebook, Karma punches you in the face and they have the flu the next day. Maybe that's just how Karma works for me…
Glad to hear everyone is well and you are BUSY!!
Janine Huldie says
Lol, Stephanie I have been knocking on wood for the last few days and keeping my fingers crossed. But I know all too well about Karma and so not wanting that to come bite me in the ass!! Thanks 🙂 🙂
Amy says
I totally relate to the mini van thing. A weekly recap is a great idea. Glad your girls are feeling better.
Janine Huldie says
Thanks Amy for all your good thoughts about my girls and I admit that I quite enjoy doing the recap, because it gives me a chance to catch up and breath a bit, too. Also happy to know it isn't only me with the minivan!! 🙂
Jane Marsh says
Here's to a healthy week next week for you.
Janine Huldie says
Thanks so much Jane and from your lips to god's ears now!! 🙂
Bre @ Peacoats and P says
Poor mommy! Hope the girls are all better this week 🙂
Janine Huldie says
Oh thanks o much Bre. They are both doing better and fingers crossed that it stays that way now!! 🙂
