Finally it is Saturday, after a really long and tiring week. Still can’t believe I have been doing this wrap-up for 8 weeks already. Crazy how times flies!! Believe it or not, it is Spring here in NY even if the weather doesn’t seem to know it quite yet. Other then Monday which was right about 60 degrees, it has been downright chilly here.
Which didn’t help, when we lost power this past Tuesday. The temperature that day wasn’t more than 45 degrees and windy on top of that. We had lost power for about 8 hours and the temperature in the house was cold enough that my toes were practically numb. Bad flashbacks to Hurricane Sandy. This was not weather related, but just due to a car ramming into the electrical pole that fed the power into our house.
Want a Good Laugh? Read the Book I Contributed To!!Also, in the news this past week was the release of Parenting Gag Reel – Hilarious Writes and Wrongs: Take 26 from the ladies at Life Well Blogged, which is a compilation of hilarious parenting stories from moms, dads and grandmas all protecting themselves on the front line. And I just happen to be featured in this fabulous book along side of some wonderful bloggers. To purchase this book, look for the Amazon affiliate link in my sidebar widget to the right. Since it was released on April 2nd, which is World Awareness Autism Day, a part of the proceeds is going to Autism Speaks.
Now, onto to my weekly recap for those catching up now!!
On Sunday, We celebrated another Easter Sunday as a family having brunch at my in-laws and Easter dinner with my family. My post was prescheduled and dealt with some well deserved revenge on Kevin to find out more about this, then click here.
On Monday, I shared a bit from Easter weekend in the form of pictures from the awesome camera I actually got to try out from my husband’s work (Canon). Read the original post, if you haven’t already here.
On Tuesday, I offered a glimpse into some tender, wonderful moments from my past, when I first movies for the first, because I recalled this when we actually took the girls to their first movie this past weekend, click here to find out what movie I saw first, as well as the girls for their first time or to even share your own experiences.
On Wednesday, I decided I would love to share pictures of a Emma’s first lovey for another successful Flashback Wednesday. To see Emma’s first love, go here.
On Thursday, I had a guest post from the lovely Bella with how petite women can dress to accentuate the positives of their bodies. For more on this, click here.
On Friday, yet another Finish the Sentence Friday linkup went live with the sentence to finish being, “A typical day in my life looks like..”. To linkup if you haven’t or just to find what my day looks like, as well as other’s daily lives, click here.
And now that another Saturday is indeed upon us, I hope you too have a wonderful, fun weekend. I know that is a loaded sentence and sentiment if you are a mom. My weekend as I said is filled with craziness in the form of my two girls and Kevin, too. Dance this morning, running errands and then off to a kiddie Alice in Wonderland Party this after noon, too. So much to do, so little time to get it all done!!
Also for this upcoming week, an announcement of sorts (no I am not pregnant!!), some more kid’s birthday talk after indeed attending Lily’s dance friend’s party today, as well more Flashback Wednesday action and keep in mind that Finish the Sentence Friday will be happening again and as always going live this Thursday night at 10 pm EST!! And that is a wrap-up!!

We lost power during the blizzard Nemo this past winter and the indoor temp got down to around 50 – INSIDE. We were dying in here. Once the power finally came back on, it took hours for the place to heat back up. If it was 45 degrees out, it wouldn't have been so bad, but it was down around 20 outside that day. Brrrr.
Janine Huldie says
Oh that sounds awful and can't even imagine (just sorry you went through that). I was crying at 65 degrees and must just be a wuss Robin. Can you tell I hate the cold and so not meant to live where winter actually exists!!!

Have fun at the Alice in Wonderland birthday party. That sounds like a blast! 🙂 These are the things that I miss with not having kids. If I just showed up to a party like that without kids, they'd be all "Who is this crazy lady dressed like the Mad Hatter who doesn't have any kids?"
With a kid, you can pull that kind of stuff off.
Janine Huldie says
Lol, Lisa. Kids and all I still can't pull off the Mad Hatter look!! But in any event I am leaving a few and thank you as always!! 🙂 Have a great weekend, too!
The Sadder But Wiser says

I know Michele, this is crazy. I think this year is the coldest in awhile and so done with it. I am a warm weather girl, so this is truly killing me. The part we went to yesterday was outdoors and had to make sure to bundle my girls. Seriously, it didn't crack 50 degrees!!!
