What Has Three Sides??

Filed Under: Crazyiness, Married Life Tagged With: Different Personalities, Everyday Life, Funny Pictures

So for today’s question, what has three sides?

I know this sounds like a trick question or at least a question that a math teacher would pose to their students.  Well, I can tell you having trained to indeed be a math teacher and taught way before I was ever a mother, this truly was not where I was going with this question.  However, if I were still a math teacher, would indulge you here and tell you that the answer would be a triangle in a middle school math classroom.

But again, this isn’t math class and I am no longer a teacher, but a stay at home mom.  So, we still haven’t answered the question at hand for those following along.  Ok now, I know I am being annoying not giving the answer, but I will give you a hint.

First off, it isn’t object, but a person.  Still trying to figure it?  This person is female.  Still nothing?  Ok, she is absolutely stunning and perfect (sorry that was a joke and so not true!).  Now back to a real hint! She is a wife, a mother, a writer and a jack of all trades.

If you guessed that it was me, then give yourself a hundred dollars (ok again sorry the hundred dollars was meant to be funny and not real).  But you can at least give yourself a little medal or a hug., because you deserve that much.

Here Is the Picture That Started It All…

Now, why do I say three sides.  Well, I saw this picture the other day and damned if I didn’t sit up and say, “Oh my god this is so me.”  And then I showed it to Kevin and he got scared, because he has been on the receiving end at times and asked me, “When did they meet you?”

Ok, let me introduce you to each of my three sides.  Here is the first side and she  is the sweet and quiet side that only seems to be around when I write or sleep!  Seriously, I am not quiet often enough for most people’s tastes, because I truly am more of an extrovert as I am getting older (the introvert was with me more in my youth), but the sweet side does exist most of the time, but just don’t piss her off. I will get back to that in a moment.  Most of the time though for all intents and purposes, the sweet person is the one that inhabits me, but everyone once in awhile the other two make an appearance.  That is where things can get interesting and the next side comes into play.

Without further ado, please meet the second side of me, which is the fun and crazy side, and seems to exist when I can actually take a break from all of life’s craziness, which sorry to say is not often enough.  This third side has been telling me I need a vacation, but the third side (yes I am getting there and she says, “Hold your horses!”) keeps hushing her.  And therefore, I seem to keep pushing my daily existence to the limit, because of this, but then again my life is never truly dull.  So maybe the crazy side comes out more often, because of that, but fun seems to still get the shaft.  Fun, what is fun when you are the mother to two small, crazy kids?  If you have this answer let me know, I am willing to pay big bucks (But only if I won the Power Ball, otherwise I am a poor, underpaid out of work writer!)

And last but not least, there is the third side, which may scare the kiddies a bit.  So hopefully, they are asleep or at the very least occupied.  Ok, so my third side is known as “the side you never want to see”.  She only makes an appearance by the way, when her husband does dumb ass things such as this or her kids do crazy things like this.  But when she makes an appearance, you sure as hell don’t want to cross her path, because she will chew you up and spit you out.

No worries though, because the sweet, quiet side is back now (and all is well with the world) until the next time someone ticks off “the side you never want to see”.

No watch this funny video that is called The Parent Rap, that speaks volumes to me as to why I may be the way I am at this point:

Good info to know if we ever meet. 🙂 Loved the video, and quite frankly, I think we all have three sides…..the key is to not let #3 out very often. 🙂

Thanks Bill and promise you that I don't let #3 come to the surface and out all that often. And maybe someday we will get to meet up 🙂 🙂

Thanks Amy and for the most part the sweet side is the what exists most time and would agree with you on this. I admit I am working more on the fun side, but still is a work in progress. Glad to hear though your fun side is out often 🙂 🙂

Loved that video! And yeah, I think most moms (the normal ones at least) have many sides, especially that one you never want to see, but our kids just pull that one out of us!:) I consider myself a laid-back person, but if someone pisses me off, watch out!! 🙂

Love it… I can totally relate…. although I am sure for the examples part I would have had you know, when my husband does this and this and this and this and this… and when my kids do this and this and this and this and this… well, you get the picture! 🙂

You're hilarious. I think I might have like 2.5 sides. Yep, 1 is happy, 2 is laughing and 2.5 is worried. HAHAHAH.

Thanks Cyndi and love that you have 2.5 sides, but .5 worried makes me sad a bit, but then again we can't have happy all the time I suppose.

Yes, WE both need a vacation and I have bad news to report, my family just saw my third side about 30 min ago… I scared my poor dog by yelling 🙁 She woke the baby grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Anyway, I def think #1 is the most of you 🙂

Thanks Kelly, but this side of me tried creeping out tonight, too. My husband and kids were tag teaming me and have to admit I saw a bit of the color red, lol!! But seriously, I think all of us moms have a breaking point and side 3 comes out when that one is indeed reached!!

It's funny how the cartoon was just like you! I saw the video today on FB from my mom's wall and shared it on my FB page, Amanda's Books and More. I also thought it showed parenting in a very true light. 🙂

I was already following you on Twitter and have added Google+ and FB. Visiting from the Thumping Thurs. hop!
