It is finally officially spring according to the calendar. Although it may still feel like winter temperature wise. The calendar, plus the recent daylight savings would suggest otherwise.
I know that here in NY, we have had more storms and snow in the last 2-3 weeks than we did the while winter practically.
Still though bird’s should be chirping soon. Flowers and more should indeed be blooming in the very near future.
So what perfect time then now to whip up a spring time inspired treat for all that isn’t just for the birds with Bird Nest Brownie Bites.

I mean these Bird Nest Brownie Bites are fairly easy to make. I mean you can either make brownies yourself or buy store bought ones in a pinch for starters.
Plus, you use caramel sauce, coconut flakes and your favorite egg shaped candy, too! I mean who does love brownies? And then add that extra sweetness from coconut, caramel and candy to enjoy the perfect spring themed treat. I happen to sue Jelly Beans here. But you could very easily use Cadbury Mini Eggs for that extra chocolatey touch!

Yummy, yummy! Your kiddos like the coconut flakes? hehe…I didn’t like coconut until I became an adult. Maybe that’s weird, but then again, I own up to the fact that I’m weird. 😀
Happy Monday to you. I hope those storms will sail off into the horizon. Down here in NC, I’m *so* appreciative of all the spring flowers blooming. It’s so wonderful after months of looking at brown, dead-looking things. hehe.
Sending you hugs! Stay warm and Happy Easter!
Janine says
Cyndi, believe it or not they do. Probably because both Kevin and I do. So they truly get it from both of us, I suppose! As of now, the storms seem to be at bay. Sunny here and still a bit chilly though in the 40s. But I will take sunny at the very least. Now if it would just warm up even in the 50s! Happy Monday and wishing you a wonderful week, as well as Happy Easter, too! Many hugs again, as well 🙂

Another oldie but goodie, those bird nest treats for Easter always are a hit. I was just talking about them recently with a friend when she was asking for ideas. I’m going to have to share yours with her.

Definitely a classic and thanks for sharing this with your friend, too 🙂

Can you believe I’ve never had bird nests? It sounds so weird to say it but it’s the truth. I heard you East Coasters had a horrible storm on the first day of Spring. It was not better in California, we were stuck in the rain. I’ve never seen Bird New Brownie Bites but they look tasty and super easy to whip up. Have a great week Janine 🙂
Janine says
Aw, not weird at all and hope you can try them soon though. Also, hope you are feeling better and have a wonderful week ahead now, too 🙂
Tamara says
They are totally adorable. And I love the lightly toasted coconut flakes even more. I can almost taste this deliciousness. We really rock with our family friend Easter posts!
