I never thought to actually do Wordless Wednesdays, because usually I have a ton to say, but I have been saying a ton on here lately. I think many might be getting tired of my daily rants at times and figure this would break up the week nice for those of you by Wednesday may indeed be tired of my daily tales. So, when my friend and fellow blogger Cyndi from Pictimilitude started her own Wordless Wednesday, I will be honest I forgot the first week and then thought that I would try for the second week, but time just got away from me.
Well, this is the third week she is doing it on her own site and really didn’t want to miss out again. I thought long and hard this weekend how I wanted to approach this. Since I already do a 1 Snap A Day Photo on my blog and there are daily snapshots of my family and myself uploaded here from that, I didn’t want to use those types of pictures.
For “Wordless Wednesday”, I thought I would do something a bit different and put my own spin on it. I am including one picture a week on Wednesdays that is a throwback or flashback if you may. See I have tons of photos on my computer that Kevin or I took over the years. Kevin is truly the photographer and figure I will try to use many of his, because he tries just so when taking photo to get the right angle, lightening and so forth. I only started this blog, as most know, last year and there are so many photos of my family and such that my readers haven’t seen and would love to share with you. Consider it a day to catch up on the times you may have missed out before this blog came to fruition.
So sit back and enjoy the ride, because I am going to start with an early picture of Emma from a time when she was still a newborn. I have other photos from when Kevin and I first were together, engaged, our wedding and so forth, but need to scan a lot in, because many were on my old laptop and only have the hard copies of them. So those will have to wait for now.
But for now, I will leave you will a picture of Emma with me holding her, as a newborn, taken by the photographer in our family, Kevin. We were still in the hospital and she was only hours old. I never get tired of this photo, because I wanted nine long months to lay eyes on her little face and it was truly love at first sight.
Enjoy and Happy Wednesday. Thanks again Cyndi for this awesome idea!!

Mom's love is oozing out from this pix. loved it!!
Janine Huldie says
Thanks Ruchira. I will admit I have many pictures over the last few years I love with my kids, but this is truly up there and just because it was the first moments of me actually being a mom to my kids. I will never forget how it felt and how perfect she was to me, because quite simply she was mine 🙂
Emma Ddraig Coch says
Nice to visit our babies during the first few months. I love nursing little babies… I just can't even consider having another with out my mind taking me to a cliff edge to throw myself off at the same time, I've done my bit as they say, haha.
Janine Huldie says
Oh I am so with you on both counts Emma. Seriously, I love these photos and they make me nostalgic, but at the same time I think I would die a million deaths to go through it all again!!
Christy Birmingham says

Thanks Melanie and am glad you enjoyed it. It is truly one of my favorites and am a bit prejudiced on this one 🙂
Meredith says
What a beautiful picture! Isn't that the best feeling in the world, having your baby lie on your chest? Ahh…:)
Janine Huldie says
Thanks Meredith and so very true. I remember looking at her and feeling just completely amazed that we did this and created this little perfect person (yes labor induced hysteria, lol). But seriously, I just felt so much love looking at her then and still do 🙂
Kera says
What a precious photo of you and Emma! I remember those newborn days of them just laying on your chest and how wonderful it feels. Sofia still does that sometimes when she's super tired and I hate to put her down!
Janine Huldie says
Thanks Kera and sometimes Lily and Emma will still snuggle into me and am with you that I secretly do love it!!
Stacy Harris says
What a great picture… I love pictures of mommys and babies! They just capture something in my heart.
Janine Huldie says
Thanks Stacy and can't help, but agree. I always feel my maternal instinct kick in when I see these types of photos whether they are mine or not. 🙂
