Stitch Fix Subscription Is the Perfect Holiday Gift Idea

Filed Under: affiliates, BLOG, Fashion, holiday gift ideas, Sponsored Posts, subscription services Tagged With: Affiliates, review, Sponsored, Stitch Fix, Subscription Box

*I am an affiliate for Stitch Fix. If you click on my links to purchase, I will receive a small commission.

Earlier this year, I kept hearing about Stitch Fix on Facebook and my other social networks. So, I confess that I tried this service for the first time back then.

But what intrigued enough to want to try Stitch Fix previously?

Stitch Fix Envelope with Fix Info

Well, I have always loved fashion and shopping. But secretly I always wished to have my very own personal shopper. Still, I couldn’t afford to pay for a personal shopper. So, this seemed like the perfect solution.

While I enjoyed my initial experience, I kept making excuses as to why I couldn’t get another “Fix”.

But then a few weeks ago, I decided that I was going to give Stitch Fix another go. Plus with the holiday season right around the corner, I thought I could find an outfit or two to wear to some upcoming get-togethers. Also, I reasoned that I could have my family gift me one or more of the items I liked, as well.

So, FYI totally recommend to all for possible holiday gift idea for yourself or a fashion forward woman or man in your life. That’s right, they also style men, too!

Stitch Fix Holiday Outfit Ideas

How does Stitch Fix work?

When you first sign up, you begin by taking an in-depth survey about your sizes, your style, and even your pricing preferences. From this survey, your personal stylist sends you 5 items to try in your “Fix”.

What is the fee for Stitch Fix?

The fee for this service is $20, and that includes free shipping and free returns.

What do you pay if you keep any or even all of your “Fix”?

You pay the item prices listed on the checkout screen. Plus as long as you keep any of the items they send you, you get to deduct the $20 fee from the total. BONUS…If you keep all five items, you also get a 25% discount!

My Fix of Clothes from Stitch Fix Stacked

So, let’s see what I received picked out by stylist, Laila in my Stitch “Fix”…

1. Octavia Nina Floral Print Infinity Scarf – $28

I am a huge fan of scarfs, especially infinity scarfs during the fall and winter months. This infinity scarf is a navy blue color base gold, brown and pink embellishments. Absolutely beautiful colors and goes with browns and cream colors perfectly.

2. 41Hawthorn Caulfield Textured V-Neck Pullover – $74

At first this chunky sweater seemed a bit on the larger side to me and wasn’t completely feeling it. But then I put it on the skinny jeans in this “fix” (see below), my brown boots, as well as the aforementioned infinity scarf. What I ended up realizing was I kind of liked the cut and style of this beige, cream colored sweater with the overall outfit.

3. Market & Spruce Careen Dolman Knit Top – $48

This black and grey striped sweater is perfect for leggings and/or jeans. I wore it with black leggings, my grey Ugg Sweater boots and my green khaki army style jacket. Another winning pick as this went nicely with staple pieces I already have in my wardrobe.

4. Lila Ryan Liza Skinny Jean – $98

I have been wearing leggings more and more lately. Yet, I do still like jeans. Skinny jeans seem to be the jeans that I gravitate towards when I do wear them. But it is hard for me to find skinny jeans that fit comfortably as I tend to have a smaller waist but my hips are slightly bigger. These black (almost dark navy blue) skinny jeans fit my waist comfortably and my hips, too. Plus they were cut short enough for the fact that I am on the petite side at 5’2″.

5. BRIXON IVY Lawley Cable Knit Open Cardigan – $68

I saved the best for last, as I soon as I opened the box for this “fix”, I fell in love with this grey, chunky open knit cardigan. So much so that I wore it to a a girls night out cookie swap party. That night I wore it with Lularoe Christmas Leggings. But I also recently paired it  with the Liza skinny jeans and black high heeled boots. The look became a bit more classy and sophisticated. Also, I just love the wide and long pockets of this sweater. Really just so comfy and cozy!

The Verdict on this Stitch “Fix”…

So, I was originally going to send back #2 and #4 is this “fix”. But I ended up keeping all.

My receipt from my "Fix" showing my savings.

I saved $98! I pretty much got the skinny jeans for FREE!

Why?

Because I just couldn’t part with any of these key pieces.

Plus, I basically got the skinny jeans for FREE with a $99 discount for the 25% off discount and the styling credit of $20, as well.

Also, my stylist pretty much nailed it with this box. She got my style completely and even more so than I even initially even realized. I am amazed that someone who never met or laid eyes on me before could figure out what I would like to wear. This is proof to me that the right stylist can really make the Stitch Fix experience worthy for all those naysayers.

My husband got me a gift certificate to this as a birthday present. It is very easy to use, and I like the quality of the clothing. They give you so many options that you can work within many budgets and styles. Not everything fits or works, but it is easy to send back. I’ve got another “Fix” coming next week and can’t wait to see what’s inside!

I’ve heard of Stitch Fix, and its always intrigues me. What woman doesn’t want a personal shopper, I know I do. I like the idea of not having to go shopping, sadly I don’t have time to search for clothes nowadays everything is done online and easy, peasy. It looks like Stitch Fix takes it one step future. This would be an excellent Christmas gift for someone.

Look at you with the AWESOME poses! You’re gorgeous! And while I was reading, I couldn’t help but think how much I wish I knew how to use a sewing machine. LOL. I taught myself to knit, and I can mend a hole about as well as an eight year old (I can do, it, but it looks like an 8 year old did it) but still.
So in the meantime, what a fun post! That stuff looks pretty awesome. I think you might have a sideline hobby as a model! hehe.
    Have fun!
